Bags are made in 20 to 50 microns, with a load rating of up to 5 kg, depending on size. Lower gauges suit light items such as medicines and small accessories. Higher gauges suit boxed items, footwear and anything with corners. Because the rating depends on size, tell us your heaviest typical purchase when you request a quote, and trial a batch at the counter before ordering in volume.
Disposal and storage
Used bags should go to industrial composting where it is available and should not go into plastic recycling. Our specification states that the bag returns to soil within 240 days in industrial composting. Customers can reuse the bag before disposal. Store unused bags in a cool, dry place; shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
