Bags run from 10"×14" to 16"×20", with 250 to 500 bags per roll on a 1.5" cardboard core. Choose by the typical purchase: smaller sizes suit pharmacy and bakery items, larger sizes suit grocery baskets. More bags per roll means fewer changeovers at a busy counter, but also a heavier roll, so check what your dispenser can carry.
How to choose the right thickness
Rolls are made in 20 to 40 microns. Lighter film suits light items such as bakery goods and pharmacy purchases. Heavier film is better for packaged groceries and items with corners. Thicker film is stronger but uses more material per bag, so choose the thinnest gauge that carries your typical load, and trial it at one counter before rolling out to every till.
Disposal and storage
Used bags should go to industrial composting where it is available, and not into plastic recycling. Our specification states that the bag returns to soil within 240 days in industrial composting. Bags used for food can go in with food waste. Keep unused rolls in a cool, dry place; shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
