Capacities run from 250 ml to 1000 ml. Choose the pouch by the portion you sell, and leave headspace so that the seal is not under strain. Stand-up pouches suit soups and curries that are served from the pouch, flat pouches suit pre-filled portions in a delivery bag, and spouted pouches suit beverages.
How to choose capacity and format
The heat tolerance is up to 95°C, so do not fill at higher temperatures. Pick the format by how the pouch is used: stand-up for portions that sit on a table, flat for stacking in delivery bags, and spouted or zip options where the customer pours or reseals. Test a pouch with your actual recipe, as oily gravies and acidic liquids can behave differently from water.
Disposal and storage
Empty the pouch before disposal. Used pouches can go to industrial composting along with food waste where it is available, and should not go into plastic recycling. Our specification states that the pouch returns to soil within 240 days in industrial composting. Store unused pouches in a cool, dry place; shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
