Bags run from 17"×19" to 36"×45". Measure the bin height and circumference, and choose a bag long enough to fold over the rim. For wheelie bins and large containers, take the dimensions from the container and not from the standard size name.
How to choose the right thickness
Bags are made in 30 to 75 microns, with a load rating of up to 15 kg, depending on size. Light office and washroom waste suits the lower gauges. Wet, heavy or sharp-edged waste suits the higher gauges, which resist tearing. Check the load against the size you need, as the rating is size-dependent.
Disposal and storage
A compostable bag delivers its benefit when the waste inside goes to composting. If the bag is sent to landfill with mixed waste, it will not compost in the same way. Our specification states that the bag returns to soil within 240 days in industrial composting. Store unused bags in a cool, dry place; shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
