How to choose the right thickness
Film is made in 17 to 25 microns, with stretch of up to 250%. Hand grade suits occasional wrapping and lighter loads. Machine grade suits high-volume lines and heavier pallets. More stretch means less film per pallet, so test how many wraps your load needs, and check that the load stays tight after transit.
Disposal and storage
Used film can go to industrial composting where a facility is available and should not go into plastic recycling. Our specification states that the film returns to soil within 240 days in industrial composting. For warehouse waste, arrange collection with a composter that accepts compostable film. Store unused rolls in a cool, dry place; shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
