The roll width is made to your pack size. Give us the length, width and height of the pack when you request a quote, and we will advise the roll width. A shrink ratio of up to 70% means the film pulls in a long way, so allow room for it to close around the product.
How to choose the right thickness
Shrink film is made in 19 to 30 microns. Lighter film suits small, light packs such as stationery and printed items. Heavier film suits heavier multipacks and bundles. Tunnel temperature and speed may need adjusting from the settings you use for conventional film, so run a test on your own line before a production order.
Disposal and storage
Used film can go to industrial composting where a facility is available and should not go into plastic recycling. Our specification states that the film returns to soil within 240 days in industrial composting. Store unused rolls in a cool, dry place; shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
